FAQ: I can hear the pump, but NO water is pumping?
First let’s Check for blockages.
- Check the pump in and out for red caps. If these are still inside, please remove, reattach fittings and try again.
- Disconnect your water outlet connection from your pump and place the inlet hose in your water source and turn on your pump. If water is coming through, reconnect the Outlet Hose.
If after reconnecting the outlet hose, water is still restricted, the blockage lies within the hose, remove the hose and blow air through to determine whether it is blocked.
- If you are receiving only a little bit of water through your pump there is a blockage somewhere inside your pump. This can happen if you are pumping from a bucket or source where debris may have been caught.
If water is NOT coming our of your pump and you have confirmed NO blockages with the above steps – please proceed with the step below.
- Your diaphragm may be dry. You will simply need to relubricate the diaphragm by turning the pump on and connecting a mains water pressure into the water Inlet and push water through the pump. This will relubricate the diaphragm in the head of the pump and the pump will kick back in.
