My Pump is on but there is no noise?
Not to worry, you can test this very quickly and easily.
- First check the wire harness switch is in the ON position.
Try switching it on and off a few times to determine if that is causing the issue.
- Confirm all alligator clips are creating a secure connection to your 12V battery
- If the above has not fixed the pump lets try testing the pressure switch by bypassing it.
Pressure Switch Bypass Test
1. Locate the cables –
At the head of the pump – use a Phillips head to unscrew the back pressure switch (square cap) of the pump and unplug the two red cables
2. Process –
Join the two cables together by sliding them into each other and test to see if pump turns on.
If NO, The pump is possibly damaged.
If YES, You have a faulty Pressure Switch.
You can tape up the cables and use it this way in the interim and you will need a New Pressure Switch.
Note: The Pump will continue to work with a faulty pressure switch although you will need to turn the Pump ON and OFF by using the power cable.
