Q – My Pump Is ON, But No Noise?

My 6LPM is on but there is no noise?

Not to worry, you can test this very quickly and easily.

  • First check the wire harness switch is in the ON position.
Try switching it on and off a few times to determine if that is causing the issue.
  • Confirm all alligator clips are creating a secure connection to your 12V battery
  • If the above has not fixed the pump lets try testing the pressure switch by bypassing it.

Pressure Switch Bypass Test

1. Locate the cables
At the head of the pump you will see two black cables, unplug these

2. Process
Join the two cables together by sliding them into each other and test to see if pump turns on.

If NO, The pump is possibly damaged.

If YES, You have a faulty Pressure Switch.
You can tape up the cables and use it this way in the interim and you will need a New Pressure Switch.

Note: The Pump will continue to work with a faulty pressure switch although you will need to turn the Pump ON and OFF by using the power cable.
